A legacy worth remembering
The purpose of the Mennonite Centre Heritage Club is to enhance knowledge and appreciation of Mennonite heritage by inviting members and guests to share related research and experiences. We meet at St.Clair-O’Connor Community (near the corner of those two major streets) generally on the first Monday morning and the third Wednesday evening of the month, excluding summer.
Programs include such topics as Mennonite history, art, literature, language and social concerns. They can range from an informal Low German evening to an academic paper based on archival sources. Historical streams among European Mennonites — Swiss, Dutch, Prussian and Russian — as well as subjects of contemporary and global interest are all included. Anyone who wants to learn more about Mennonite/Anabaptist history and culture is welcome. Upcoming events are announced in the church bulletin and Place of Meeting newsletter, and can also be received by email on request.
