TUMC is a Christian community in the Mennonite-Anabaptist "peace church" tradition. We aspire to be a family of faith  that welcomes people with diverse backgrounds and stories, worshipping together and supporting one another, while following Christ's example in working for peace and justice in our urban context.

In the Gospel of John, Jesus often asks his followers: "What are you looking for?"

How might you respond? Are you looking for answers to questions of social justice, are you looking for a place where you can honestly explore your deepest questions, are you looking for a community where you can worship in song and prayer?

Most of us are spiritually hungry for something, but it's not always easy to say just what. On one occasion, Jesus' followers, not sure how to respond, simply asked: "Teacher, where are you staying?" And he said, "Come and see." John says the disciples "came and saw, and they remained with him the rest of that day."

As you browse this website about our faith community, I invite you to come and see and, if you wish, to remain a while.

This Sunday

You are warmly welcomed to join us at 10:30 am for Worship each Sunday while TUMC is on its summer schedule.  There is no Christian Education time during the summer. Note: There will be no service at TUMC on Aug. 17, when we will be joining other Mennonite churches in the area for the annual joint worship, lunch and family fun day at Willowgrove camp north of the city - check details in the announcements section.)

This Sunday (Aug. 3) you are also invited to join us for the monthly Taize service, a beautiful informal service of song, prayer, and quiet meditation at 6:30 p.m.

Please see the Visitors and Upcoming Events section above for more information.
