Building a sharing community

Welcome to TUMC, a Christian community in the Mennonite-Anabaptist “peace church” tradition. We aspire to be a family of faith ┬áthat welcomes people with diverse backgrounds and stories, worshipping together and supporting one another, while following Christ’s example in working for peace and justice in our urban context.

This Sunday

All are warmly welcomed to join us this week for worship at 11 a.m., followed by coffee, tea and conversation. Christian Education for all ages begins at 10 a.m., with the adult class meeting in the new second floor meeting room (north side) and classes for kids and youth on the lower level.

TUMC is a friendly, intergenerational, multicultural community. We’re always glad to welcome newcomers. Whether you’re new to the city, visiting or simply curious, please feel free to check us out! For more information, check out the About Us tab.

Building project nears completion

Our renovation project is nearly finished! Mark your calendar for Nov. 13, when TUMC will celebrate the dedication of our expanded and refreshed building, including additional meeting and office space on the north side, a bigger lobby area, renewed sanctuary and improved access for people with disabilities, including a main-floor washroom. Many thanks to everyone who contributed financially and through countless hours of volunteer work to make this project a reality!

Ride for Refuge

The TUMC Turtles are riding in this annual continent wide fundraiser, the Toronto Downtown edition. Help us support Mennonite Central Committee’s work with homeless people and refugees! Click on the logo above to get a donation link.

Refugee sponsorship

Our refugee family of three continues to settle in to their new home in Toronto. They are eager to see the city and practice their English with conversational partners, particularly during some down time they will have this summer. Please contact the refugee sponsorship committee (Pam O. Evan H., Helga W., Doreen M. or Melanie P.) if you are interested in providing some companionship.
